Terms of service
Last updated: 7 August 2026
These terms govern your use of Parla Italiano at eetali.com. By using the service you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
1. Who we are
The service is provided by [Legal entity name], [registered address], company number [number] ("we", "us"). Contact: hello@eetali.com.
2. The service
Parla Italiano is a self-guided Italian course for travellers. It is provided for general educational purposes.
The course is currently free to use, with or without an account. We may introduce paid features in future; if we do, we will make the terms clear before you are asked to pay, and anything you have already been given free will not be taken away retrospectively.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
- Give an email address you actually control, and keep your password to yourself.
- You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access.
- One person per account. Do not share credentials.
- You can delete your account at any time from your profile. Deletion is immediate and permanent.
4. Acceptable use
Please do not:
- attempt to break, probe or overload the service, or bypass its security;
- use automated means to scrape or bulk-download the course content;
- resell, redistribute or republish the course content as your own;
- use the service for anything unlawful, or to harass anyone;
- attempt to access another person's account.
We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why and give you a chance to put it right first.
5. Content and intellectual property
The course content, wording, design and code are owned by us or licensed to us, and are protected by copyright. You may use them for your own personal learning. You may not copy, adapt or redistribute them commercially without our written permission.
Translations and pronunciation guides are provided in good faith for travel use. Language is contextual: a phrase that is right in one situation may be wrong or impolite in another. Do not rely on this course for legal, medical, safety-critical or professional translation.
6. Audio
Spoken audio is produced by your own device's built-in speech synthesis, not by us. Its quality, accent and availability depend entirely on your device and the voices installed on it. We do not control it and cannot guarantee it is available or accurate.
7. Availability
We aim to keep the service running, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it, and we may carry out maintenance without notice.
If we discontinue the service entirely, we will give you reasonable notice and an opportunity to export or delete your data.
8. Your data
How we handle personal data is set out in our privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.
Progress saved only in your browser (that is, while signed out) is not backed up by us. Clearing your browser data will delete it and we cannot recover it.
9. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
Subject to that, and to the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss of data, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you is limited to [the greater of £100 or the amount you have paid us in the preceding 12 months].
The service is provided "as is". Nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will change the date at the top, and for material changes we will notify you by email or in the app. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [England and Wales], and disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you may bring proceedings in your own jurisdiction.
